Hi everyone,
It’s August, and for many artists in the Northern Hemisphere, that means summer break is still in full swing—or the slow return to a creative routine is just beginning.
With most drawing challenges and creative prompts on pause during summer, it’s easy to lose momentum with your sketchbook practice. And while there are still some wonderful live online sketching sessions happening (as I mentioned in my last newsletter), many of them are hosted across the Atlantic. That often means morning sessions there fall into late afternoon or evening here in Europe—just when it’s hardest to carve out quiet time to draw.
Catch a Sketch✏️
That is why I’ve decided to start a new online sketching session that’s friendly to European time zones — Catch a Sketch. It’s for anyone who loves to draw in the mornings and would like some quiet company and some gentle accountability.
You're invited to join me every Tuesday at 10 AM (Paris time) for a one-hour sketching session on Google Meet. I’ll bring a fresh prompt each week, but you’re welcome to do your own thing too. The main idea is to show up and draw. If you can’t make it one week, catch a sketch next time. 😊
(This is a reusable Google Meet link —just click to join each week at the scheduled time)
Let’s start a new sketchbook practice together — see you next Tuesday, August 12!

is there a theme in your Catch a sketch, please? or is it a kind of online coworking?
Are your catch a sketch sessions recorded? As much as I would love to do this, 3am may not be a good time for me Chicago, USA time) GB
