I didn’t think of trying neocolour with mineral oil! That’s my experiment for today! And I’m going to have to think of my own travel drawing kit. Slightly worried because I tend to use all the colours!
Right? How does one pick only a few? This is the reason why I broke mine in half from the start so they take less space in my pencil case (and I have the other half home as a backup…)
Im dreading having to choose between colours… the neocolours pencils are wax based right? And water soluble ( this I know) but how did you think of trying mineral oil with them?
Oh I love seeing the mineral oil vs water. So interesting. Definitely a difference in richness. Thank you so much for sharing. Are your colour pencils normal or water soluble?
I can’t tell you how much I loved reading this and seeing your photos. Keeping art sketching supplies organized - tips on containers - is so helpful and such fun.
Love your drawings! I've been wanting to try some new materials and I'm intrigued by your neocolor and mineral oil process. I'm going to have to give them a try!
I love this! Reading as I pack up my travel art kit as well. So helpful! Thanks for sharing.
Great, what did you end up packing?

I did a short course with Elina Ellis at @indigobee.academy and she shows all kinds of blending combinations
Ha! I’ve done two of hers! I’ll go check this one out! Thanks!!! X
Yes, it’s the one about oil pastels

Thank you! First three batches from the left are normal pencils and the other three are water soluble (two types of pencils and the Neocolor II)

Thank you, Dorothy, I’m so happy to hear that!

Thank you for sharing this! And I have to say, your neocolor II palette is absolute perfection!
Oh, thank you so much! 🎨
